Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”
— Matthew 28:18-20 MSG

OUR VISION

is that you would KNOW Jesus + Discover His PURPOSE for your life.

Matthew 16:13-20, Philippians 3:7-14, Romans 8:28

OUR MISSION

TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY IN LOVE - To BRING the LIGHT + LIFE of Jesus TO THE DARKEST PLACES OF OUR COMMUNITY.

Galatians 5:13, Ephesians 4:11-4, John 1:1-5

OUR PURPOSE

To make disciples. “To be a people who are fully devoted to the way of Jesus!”

Matthew 28:19-20

The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.’
— John 1:4-5 NLT

The Culture of Purpose Church

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper ), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity — all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.'

Acts 2:41-47 NLT

Our culture is centered around the model we see in the early Church

To be a people who are DEVOTED to

  • The Word of God - Learning it and teaching it

  • Fellowship - Doing life together

  • Communion - The practice of breaking bread

  • Prayer - With and for one another

  • Sabbath - Learning to reorient our lives around Him

  • Fear - Not of the Lord, but in the Lord

  • Worship - From the Temple (church) to the table

  • Generosity - Sharing our resource with anyone who is in need

  • Joy - Because it is the fruit of a devoted life!

THE CHURCH WE SEE

We are a church that desires to Know Jesus and be Known by Him, sold out to living the way of Jesus, on a mission to bring the light + life of Jesus to every dark place in our community. We are a church community that gathers with purpose, passionate about making disciples who are fully devoted to the way of Jesus. A church deeply devoted to the word of God, life giving friendships, having meals together and praying with and for one another. A church that is fearless in the face of adversity because our fear is in the Lord alone, a church that is generous with everything we have and celebrates with great joy all the incredible things God is doing in us and through us.

We are a Church that unashamedly gives honor and glory to Him for it all!

This is the church we see, this is the church we are, this is, Purpose Church.

What we believe

We live by our convictions, AND OUR core values that make us who we are. The Bible is our guide to life, not only because it is good, but because it is true.

  • There is one God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God; we believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His victorious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His constant intercession and in His imminent return

  • In the person and work of the Holy Spirit with His fruits and gifts available in the Church.

  • The Bible is the living word of God. It is infallible, authoritative and everlasting and is the foundation of all Christian doctrine.

  • In the existence of an evil spiritual being known as the devil.

  • In the spiritually lost condition of all people and the essential need for the new birth by faith in Jesus Christ.

  • In the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a gift available to believers subsequent to the new birth, with normal evidence of speaking in other tongues

  • In the sacraments of the Lords Supper and baptism by full immersion in water for all believers.

  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting separation from God.

  • In the church being the body of Christ, and each member being an active part of a local church, fulfilling the Great Commission.

  • Marriage was instituted by God, ratified by Jesus, and is exclusively between a man and a woman. It is a picture of Christ and his church.

  • Sex is a gift from God for procreation and unity, and it is only appropriate within and designed for marriage.
